We are inviting early arrivers to a STUDY TOUR, where we will visit hardwood industry sites in and around Vienna.
Study Tour

(Our bus departs at 11:00. Meeting point: Lobby of Hilton Vienna Park Hotel, Am Stadtpark 1, 1030 Wien. Please bring warm clothes as we will be visiting unheated warehouses.)
Special Event: Study Tour, where we will visit hardwood industry sites in and around Vienna.
Visit of the Weitzer Parkett showroom (Richard-Strauss-Straße 11, 1230 Vienna) with presentation of the “Innovation Centre W.E.I.Z.” and a light lunch.
Visit of Mühlbauer Holz headquarter and warehouse (Franz Lehngasse 7, 2325 Himberg bei Wien). Coffee and beverages provided.
Visit of the TEAM 7 showroom in Vienna city center (Stubenring 14, 1010 Wien).

The Welcome Reception of the International Hardwood Conference 2024 is taking place in a reserved area of “SELLENY’S Bar” at Hilton Vienna Park. Location: Am Stadtpark 1, 1030 Wien.
What to expect: small snacks & drinks (no full meal) in a relaxed atmosphere

DAY 2 - 08.11.2024
The 8th of November will be the MAIN CONFERENCE DAY, taking place in Hilton Vienna Park.

City Tour with Schönbrunn
November 08, 2024 from 09:30 starting at Hilton Vienna Park, duration approx. 6-7h
Starting with a drive along the famous Ringstrasse, where we discover the State Opera, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of National History, the Imperial Palace, the Parliament, the Town Hall, the National Theatre, the University of Vienna and the Votiv Church (The monuments will be seen just from the outside, no indoor visit). Our tour will then lead us to Schönbrunn Palace. The highlight of this excursion is a guided tour through the magnificent stately rooms of Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburg family. After Schönbrunn, we will have lunch in the city and a guided walk through the city center.

We will then spend the evening at the NETWORKING DINNER, which will give you the opportunity to broaden your network and talk to main actors of the international hardwood markets.
Networking Dinner

The Networking Dinner is taking place on Friday, November 08, 2024 at "Schloss Belvedere" (Oberes Belvedere, Prinz-Eugen-Straße 27, 1030 Wien). Bus transfer will be provided at 18:30 from Hilton Vienna Park Hotel (meeting point: Lobby).
Bus transfer back to the hotel from 22:00.
What to expect: an unforgettable experience with an exclusive visit of the exhibition including Gustav Klimt’s world-famous “Der Kuss” painting. Seated dinner afterwards.
Dresscode: appropriate for gala dinner
